Is there any such thing as coincidence in the plan and purpose of God? As we gather together we seek to hear God’s purposes for us which will change our lives forever.

We all started our journey the same way. Romans 10:9 “If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.”

The journey continues. “As you have received Christ, so walk you in Him.” Colossians 2:6.

With our new beginning we now find no higher purpose in our lives than to worship and serve our God.

In these days many are not receiving answers for the direction they are seeking God for. Is it because, as we go on, we all expect God to speak to us in a certain way?…….and if it does not happen as we hope for it can have adverse effects such as disappointment, depression, confusion. These are not from God.

God speaks all the time, but as well as a positive response from Him, He also replies in the negative, or even silence. An earthly parent has to say “no” sometimes, just as our Heavenly Father does.

At times a silent period is one where we have to learn to trust the Lord until His “appointed time.” God’s timing is immaculate because He alone is omniscient, not us!

Silence from God can also indicate a removal of His presence expressed by a lack of peace in my inner being ,through a lack of obedience on my part to a previous word given to me. No amount of prayer will change the situation, only repentance.

Unrealistic expectation dissolves when I learn the true character of God, knowing Him as He really is as my loving Heavenly Father, and finding “a rest” (Hebrews 4) as I now seek His face in relationship instead of His hand for provision. The greater includes the lesser!…….and eventually the Lord’s direction for me becomes clear.
