Meditate upon the following scripture for a few moments as we realign our thoughts with God’s perspective for our lives:

Psalm 31:15 “My times are in Thy hand.”

We all have areas in our lives beyond our control that we have to trust our Heavenly Father with. When we doubt, mistrust and fear, the Lord is not going to beat us up over it, but He loves us too much to leave us in this wilderness. He woos us to draw us to Himself, away from those places.

God reminds us of His provision in Christ for us: 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” We need a quickening from the Holy Spirit to quicken our believing and dispel fear and anxiety.

The teachings of Jesus from the Sermon on the Mount encourage us to trust God for our daily provision, “Take no thought…..”, Matthew 6:31, for food and clothes, as our Heavenly Father knows the things we have need of, but Jesus encourages us to “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matt. 6:33.

Let us consider the environments of nature: Everything has an environment it can flourish and operate in. The birds have the liberty of the air, plants have the earth to flourish in, fish have the vast provision of the water in rivers and oceans. Everything in the right environment flourishes.

Now let us consider the spiritual realm. The environment for the child of God to flourish in is truth. Jesus is the embodiment of all truth. He declared, John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me.”
On the other hand, the environment for the devil to flourish in is fear, doubt and mistrust. Fear is a force that binds and inflicts and is one of the devil’s chief weapons against the children of God. Scripture declares the devil is the father of the lie, (John 8:44). Fear, doubt, mistrust and anxiety are all his children. When I entertain any of them, I give the devil a permit to visit his offspring. A father has visiting rights with his own children.

How do I get rid of the devil and his children? I have to first nail the lie I am believing, producing all negative feelings against God, and then exchange the lie for the truth of what God declares and says about me and my life. As I walk in the truth of God’s word, fear is dispelled and the devil, the father of the lie, is evicted. The devil hates truth and light, he cannot operate in this environment, he needs lies, deceit and darkness to flourish.

ALL FEAR IS BUILT ON A LIE.
DEAL WITH THE FEAR AND FEAR STAYS NEAR.
DEAL WITH THE LIE AND FEAR WILL DIE!

Through the finished work of Calvary, God has made provision for us that nothing can separate us from His love for us. Romans 8:39 …..nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.”

Psalm 91:1 He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” God has provided for us a secret place, a place of rest and security, to abide in Him. Christ in me is the supreme victor and overcomer!

A life of faith is a life of trust in God. Faith in the word of God triumphs victoriously over doubts and fears!

With aeroplanes, the law of aero-dynamics supercedes the law of gravity. The forward thrust of the engine negates the downward pull of gravity. So it is in the law of the Spirit: Romans 8:2 “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Hallelujah!! Children of the Light, arise! Walk in the liberty and freedom that Christ bought for us with His precious, shed blood. Extend His kingdom and enjoy the delights of His presence as we journey towards the fulfillment of our earthly destiny, for the Father’s glory.
